Project History

Historical Context

Hotel is a meditation on the transience of life and the spaces we temporarily inhabit. The work explores fleeting encounters and the stories that interweave in places of passage.

The Artistic Challenge

The challenge was to represent abstract concepts such as temporality and encounter in a tangible sculptural form that would resonate universally with the human experience of travel.

Casting Process

The modeling (S1) sought to capture the essence of the concept rather than a literal representation. Lost-wax casting (S3) materialized this artistic vision with the precision required by the compositional complexity.

Legacy and Impact

The patina application (S4) adds layers of meaning through color. This piece invites reflection on the spaces we share and the ephemeral connections that define our experience.
